Britain’s High Fashion Bad Boy- Alexander McQueen
Staring as a Savile Row apprentice with Anderson & Sheppard, Alexander McQueen is one of the greatest fashion designers leading the fashion market nowadays. McQueen re-launched his label with help from Gucci Group after heading the house of Givenchy’s design duties last December 2000.
Alexander McQueen’s Accomplishments
He was awarded four times between 1996 and 2003 as one of the youngest designers to achieve the title “British Designer of the Year”. He has been named as International Designer of the Year at the Council of Fashion Designer Awards.
As part of his expansion strategies, he included the opening of stores in London, Milan, and New York and launched his perfumes Kingdom and “My Queen”. In 2005, McQueen joined with Puma to create a special line of sneakers for the shoe brand.
He is truly a renowned designer, became the first designer to participate in MAC’s newest promotion: cosmetic releases created by fashion designers.
