Prada Shoes in Pailletes

prada shoes I must confess that absolutely I had no idea what a paillette is, until I saw this pair of Prada shoes in pailette form. Paillettes, as properly stated in the dictionary, or pailettes in anyways are the hottest new accent trims glistening and sparkling their way down the recent fashion runways and Hollywood red carpets.

The renowned fashion designer, Muccia Prada, has used these shimmer producing accents for her fabulous shoes that have recently graced the voluptuous feet of most Hollywood stars during their red carpet moments.

The styles that come out for the Fall/Winter collections are my favorites, I have a special fondness for the stunning and glimmering looks of Prada Resort 2009 resulted to an endless love for you Prada.

Paillettes are just sequins by a fancier name, but still love it. Featuring this Prada pump, the paillettes have two sizes, the larger ones embrace the body and the petite ones are located on the heel. It seems that the overlapping discs are like scales of most reptiles covering the entire shoes. No doubt much of this adoration is due to the materials they are using to such great effect. There’s no other way to be seen in the limelight. Discover more paillettes sparkling to this fashion shoe blog as we go along.

Roger Vivier Specialty

I am an avid fan of this French designer in the name of Roger Vivier who specializes in stiletto heel shoes embraced by renowned names in fashion and showbiz industry such as Katie Holmes, Ava Gardner, Gloria Guinness, Queen Elizabeth II and the Beatles.

He designed spectacular and extravagant richly-decorated shoes as his sculptures. Beautiful, unique and ultra-feminine, like something a fairy tale shoes. He has been called the “Fragonard of the shoes” after he made the stiletto heel using a thin rod of steel encased in wood or plastic.

Although Roger Vivier past away in 1998, he always remain one of the most renowned and legendary shoe designers of all time. He created unique designed shoes for his clients, among them are the famous designers Dior, Courrege and Delman. In the year 2002, the shoe mogul behind the shoe lines of Hogan’s and Tod’s, Diego della Valle acquired the name Roger Vivier and opened a boutique in Paris in 2004.

Shoe Fashion Victims to the Hype

In Greek mythology, Icarus who flew against his Father’s wish but ended in a fall to his death is like a modern woman trying to soar high just for the sake of fashion. This is very common to most celebrities who went around teetered out and became talk of the town for some of the most embarrassing accidents due to their towering platforms that “kills” them.

Way back in the innocent era, the average heel height had never exceeded to 3-inches but then, a woman’s shoe has escalated exponentially just to reveal their overall sexiness. Is it true? Well, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”.

christian louboutin

Christian ‘Louboutin remarkably changed the face of fashion landscape in regards to shoes when he introduced the stilettos to fashionistas resembling a small hidden platform at the toe and in an intense manner, the height became higher and higher up to the maximum level. Later on, these towering heels are just a norm and embraced by some of high-end names like Victoria Beckham, Eva Longoria, Gwen Stefani and the like.

The “Fall” Felt Around the World

fall down models

In the early 90’s, Vivienne Westwood’s 9-inch heels including 5-inch platforms toppled even America’s supermodel, Naomi Campbell on the runway. Jessica Stam at Chloé, Fall 2006 and Prada 2008 Milan Fashion Week, Milana Bogolepova at Dior, Resort 2008, Kamila W. at Vivienne Westwood, Spring 2007, Iekeliene Stange at Marc Jacobs, Spring 2007 to name a few.

Definitely, most women want to tower, to embrace the true feminine divinity and be adored wearing stilettos. They want to remain higher and higher as close to the sun and can look down to see the Earth below.

The Lolita Open-Toe Pump by Michael Kors

Don’t you know, Lolita is in? Christmas time will be a fantastic season for all shoe lovers especially when Michael Kors presents this wonderful Lolita Open-Toe Pump in a stunning platform with a sexy peep toe, pleated vamp with lacing and pinking details.

michael kors

This chic and classy style was inspired by a famous multilingual Russian-American novelist and short story writer in the name of Vladimir Nabokov through his novel about teacher and student in regards to clothes and shoes way back in an innocent era.

Indeed, Michael Kors marked its significant legend through his open-toed pumps that do justice to the whole Lolita movement. To reckon, this pair of shoes is just a sexy type that every lady wants to glide down in a runway. The grey and the patent leather trim are pinked to give a little texture to its 3.5-inch stacked heel shoe. It has a light padded foot-bed which made from combined leather and rubber sole.

The most interesting part of this pump is how the crumpled leather gives way to an open toe which gives a little raising eyebrow to a straightforward seventies style pumps. The small black bow on the vamp side is a distinguished signature of the Lolita fashion movement of the past.
So, Girls get ready to drool over to this pair of super sexy shoes!

Paul Smith “Optical Shoe Art”

paul smith shoes Slip your feet into one of the best creations of a pre-eminent British designer, Paul Smith in his stylish pointy toe multicolor pumps.

For me, the most striking element of this pair shoes is the multicolor geometric pattern that covers the entire shoe body even on a sole area. The intricate pattern isn’t a little busy, not enough to make you dizzy if you walk under the siege of pressure. The real complexity of the matter is that of streamlined beauty and preciseness that the designer’s soul truly expresses his deep emotions. As far as the shoe styles are concerned, for me, this crazy stuff as if the work of an optical art inspired by a famous late Hungarian-French artist in the name of Victor Vasarely. What do you think guys?

This is the type of pumps that demand attention from everyone because of its damned sophistication! Isn’t it? Indeed, the designer knows the real “Geometry”!

Definitely, you are having a flashback of an adventurous 60’s but don’t worry the 2008 style, its all about a lux hippie by avoiding to cross the borderline between bohemian and costume.
