Fashion houses for Fall/Winter 2009-10 Ad Campaigns are starting to surface and you can count Karl Lagerfeld’s concept for Chanel.
The Fall-Winter 2009/10 Ad Campaign for the label is something new and unexpected by most fashion critiques and Chanel fans.

The campaign features two beautiful girls, Freja Beha Erichsen and Heidi Mountin in military-inspired clothes in black-and-white look as if they were taken long time ago. I had a strong feeling that this campaign were shots of the old film about war and love.
The campaign took place at the designer’s Vermont house for the second season in a row which feels quite like the Little House on the Prairie with a big wooden barn as backdrop.
I like the sepia look of the models in the campaign and also my attention was focused to the combination of military style with milkmaid hair. It shows the power of women to protect themselves from enemies but still fragile and feminine .
Here’s the peek shots of Karl Lagerfeld for the house of Chanel:

Ahhhh Lagerfeld smart man indeed… Not only is this ad campaign amazing it is quite interesting how Lagerfeld is going back to the roots of Coco Chanel’s inspiration for designs: men’s military uniforms. Pure genius!
Great critique.
