The New Missoni Ads by Ryan McGinley
Photos of Missoni’s Fall/Winter Ad Campaign are out with an excellent effort of Ryan McGinley’s magical lens. He shoot for Stella McCartney’s latest Bambi-assisted campaign, as well as ads for Wrangler, Levi’s, and Girbaud.
The young photographer made a splash in 1998 with his excellent photographs of his nude friends larking in the fields and lingering in bathtubs. He has also tried his hand at modeling of late. After Juergen Teller shot him for a Gap Campaign in 2008, he also encouraged
McGinley to star in Marc Jacobs’ Menswear Campaign for Spring 2009.
The new Missoni campaign shot by McGinley with model Hanne Gaby Odiele windswept while riding in the back of a pick-up truck dressed to the nines and for men’s campaign featuring Devin Childers. Both were shot at Brooklyn’s Floyd Bennett Field in late May.
McGinley joins an impressive array of photographers who’ve took some effort for Missoni campaigns for past seasons including Steven Meisel, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot, Mario Testino, and Mario Sorrenti.
